"Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God." What do you see when you look at your neighbor???.....your spouse?......your friend?.....your relative?......your President? It's easy to let our ego see darkness, but Love (God Is Love), the pure heart, only sees the Light. As our minds are elevated into "Letting this mind be in you that was also in Christ Jesus" we will "know no man after the flesh", but see only God or Light. "He is the Light that lightest EVERY MAN that comes into the world."
John tells us that "the Light shines on in the darkness, for the darkness has never overpowered it - or put it out." Every man's spirit is the creation of God or Light and no matter his ignorance or darkness, it cannot ever eradicate or overpower the Light that is his true identity.
I recall seeing the movie "Dead Man Walking" where a young man was on death row for murder and rape of a young couple, and there was a nun who ministered to those there. She told him he was a son of God and he commented that no one had ever called him that before. The Melchizedek ministry is always a ministry unto the Lord. We minister to the Lord, the spirit man, in our neighbor.
"The rising sun never needs to fight the night." Just turn on the light and darkness flees.
