Spirit and Soul

We all are familiar with the passage, "There is one Body and one spirit...one lord, one faith, one baptism....etc."

As I see it, the spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, as the scriptures say, which means that the essence of man is spirit. And this candle is what Jesus called the light of the world that has been hid under a bushel. It does have to be re-generated, re-ignited or called forth from the grave to give its light again.

There is a wonderful pioneer of the ministry of Reconciliation of All that ministered this word all over the world and has since passed on but was my privilege to know that used to minister that what God was saving was Himself. What God is bringing back together or reconciling is the part of Himself that has been hidden in matter under a veil. Isn't it women that wear veils? The mind or soul, or the feminine, vs. the spirit or masculine, is what has kept God veiled and in darkness. So when the soul is unveiled, the spirit of man is raised, experientially, into newness of life. The union of our soul reunited with our spirit results in the birth of the New Creation Man, or the Son of God within us. And the Prisoner (God in man) is let out. Until then he is entombed in darkness or unconsciousness.

Jesus said he was the prisoner that no one visited, or fed or clothed. It is the spirit within us that has been imprisoned and hidden under the bushel of matter, causing us to have not known or visited this part of ourselves. When the veil is removed from the mind, recognition of who we are really begins. We begin to know that we are spirit having this human experience instead of coming from the false premise that we are just humans trying to have a spiritual experience.

It is interesting that in many countries they still require their women to be veiled. It’s a great picture of how the outer world reflects the inner world. As long as our soul is kept in darkness, we will not know transformation in our lives. “Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.”.

Love and Light,
Karen
