Adam and Eve
Our journey is really God's journey through the realms of matter, time and space in order that he may fill ALL THINGS with himself. If God had wanted to remain as God All In One or contained within One, I’m sure that is what would have happened, but the nature of Energy is to move. And this Energy moved within itself and desired to experience itself as All. And when it did we became. We were the spirit creations of God. The Elohim, a plural definition of God.
In the larger sense, archtypically, Adam is, I believe, a picture of spirit and
Eve is a picture of soul.
The word does say it was Eve who was in the transgression, but if the above statement is true, then because we all are made of an Adam and a Eve, or a soul and spirit, then Adam, too, partook of the transgression but out of love if he is a picture of spirit, for God is spirit and God is Love.
The spirit (Adam) followed Eve (soul) out of the Garden (paradasical fellowship with God) and stayed with her (Lo, I am with you always, even until the end of the world) until she is re-stored to a place of union and oneness with God. None of this "slipped up on God" or happened without design or else we do not have a God that is Omnipotent as we claim. Maybe something else might "slip up" on him and he will have to figure out another rescue plan.
When you come to the end of your world, all that is left is his world. And as a true Lover of our Soul, he has vowed to stay with us until that state is realized.
Remember Adam had been put to sleep. And the spirit in man, which is made of God stuff, is God, for "God is spirit and they which worship him must worship him in spirit and truth". So, the spirit of man is the candle of the Lord and it is in a state of death or what the bible calls sleep until it is re-ignited, quickened or called forth from the grave.
Adam answered God when asked, "Where are you? and said, "I was afraid, because I was naked, and I hid myself. And He said, “Who told you, you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat? And the man said, "The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate."
Adam admits to nakedness after partaking of fruit from his soul. He was operating from a lowered consciousness after partaking of Eve's offerings. I have heard many highlight God's words "Who told you, you were naked?" many times trying to stress that we never partook of any fruit but life, but when Jesus stripped himself to come here, beloved, he was naked, naked of his glory - Without any anointing. That is why it says that "God anointed Jesus who went about doing good", and that is why is says that God anointed him with the spirit without measure. He was naked! "I can of mine ownself do nothing."
When the bible speaks of Christ dying [and it does say Christ, not just Jesus died] this is the willful emptying of himself to take on the form of a servant and the fashion of a man. He was Spirit, willingly, entering this realm of death for the love of his bride, the soul of every man. He followed her out of the Paradise of God because of love, to woo her back into union with Himself.
"For this reason shall a man leave Mother and Father (heavenly parents) and be joined to his wife (the soul of every man).....and they shall become one flesh."
The real manifestation of the Son of Man as the The Son of God does not happen without the "twain" being made One New Man (The Child Born of Union)
If God had not had the desire to extend himself as creation and to experience his creative power multiplied exponentially, he would have remained as God All in One, but his desire was to be All in all, because he knew that these "alls" were infused with his nature to be as He is, and would create new worlds patterned after his glorious nature, magnifying, or making larger, his glory and majesty...worlds without end.
Jesus patterned all this for us perfectly so we would have an outer picture, or mirror to look into and to see ourselves clearly and even though the glass has still been smudged and dirty for many, the washing of the Word, is clearing our vision and we are growing up into Him in all things and seeing Him as He is - God manifested as All In all.
In His Great Love for All
